‘Coastal Banksia’ Twisted Copper Wire Tree Sculpture

'Coastal Banksia' (Verdigris #3) Wire Tree Sculpture with Banksia Cone Base angle 1

I have been experimenting with diferent solutions to achieve a “verdigris” effect with the copper wire, that mimics the natural oxidation effects.
I built a Coastal Banksia pod (or cones) tripod, on top of burnt driftwood as the base  by drilling the cones and then copper wire into the tripod , then the base-  and made a ‘windswept’ tree on top.
Trickier to do, as copper wire doesnt ‘co-operate’ as well as the alloy wire!

Then I mixed vinegar & water for my “Verdigris #3 ‘ mixture to use on the foliage of this particular sculpture.
This #3 solution seems to bring out a brighter , slightly blue-er colour on the tree’s copper ‘verdigris’ effect leaves.
