“Survivor” molten glass, recycled granite and wire tree sculpture

After Alan’s property on the South Coast of  NSW was devastated by the New Years 2020 Bushfires, he ‘salvaged’ some of the wreckage before it was razed.

This is the story of this piece.
The base on this sculpture was molten glass from my studio window after the fire, which had bits of charred debris embedded in it.. some of the the trees around the property  had decent epicormic growth by then-  and I considered them ( and I) “Survivors”
